What are Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy?

Hypnosis is a natural state of relaxation, which is between the aware state and sleep. It’s when you focus your attention on the inside of yourself rather than the outside. It’s a way to be in touch with your deep inner self and with your subconscious mind. It’s a way to be in touch with the natural resources that are already present within you, and it’s a way to be in touch with your deep, inner wisdom – your Wise Self – which is a place of peace, joy and creativity.

Hypnotherapy is the Art of using Hypnosis, this natural state of relaxation, in a therapeutic way. Hypnotherapy aims to bring the conscious and subconscious minds together and enable them to trigger the necessary changes in your life, to reach the resolution of whatever brings you to therapy. In this process, you are the expert of your life, and my work is to guide you through a journey where the answers are already there.

Hypnotherapy is a way to bring quick, long-lasting change into your life. It's a way to work with your imagination and your own creativity. It is a way to reach your goals and start living your life fully !

 

How many sessions do I need?

The number of sessions will depend on your particular concern and on the goal you want to reach. Your individual needs will be assessed during the first session, and we will develop a therapy plan customized to you. As hypnotherapy is a SOLUTION-focused approach, and as we work WITH your subconscious mind, results occur much faster than with any other kind of therapy. We can usually achieve excellent results within 3 to 12 sessions. Together, we will work on « How to get better » rather than on « Why you are feeling badly », and you may be surprised by how quickly you will start noticing positive change in your life.

 

Why is Hypnotherapy so efficient?

Because we work on the original cause of your issue. Your brain is like a huge database which stores all kinds of memories. In a normal conscious state of mind, you usually only have access to about 10 % of its content. Through hypnosis, you have access to that other 90 %. In a Hypnotherapy session, we will work with that 90 % to go to the original cause of your struggles. You will have the opportunity to process the feelings surrounding this original cause. Within a session, the feelings or beliefs that used to hold you back can be released and transformed, thus freeing you and allowing you to make new, empowering choices to shape your future. 

Hypnosis is also a special form of communication to the subconscious mind. In a hypnotic state, you are more receptive to new ideas, and you can more effectively process the emotions linked to the experiences which first created your issue. Once your subconscious accetps a new idea, you automatically accept it at a conscious level. It's much more than working only with will power.
